The main advantage of sparging would be to increase efficiency. The Spike Solo already achieves 70% mash efficiency and thus a sparge is not needed. If you are looking to sparge with the Spike Solo System, you will need a separate HLT to hold sparge water. The brewer will want to test their approach thoroughly, dialing in their optimal water to grain ratio.
