Through our testing, we found the following minimum and maximum batch sizes when using the Spike Solo brewing systems.


10 gallon Solo (2.5 to 5 gallon batches)
Batch Size: 2.5 gallons 
Min: 6 lbs (roughly 2.5 gallons of 5% ABV beer)
Max: 12 lbs (roughly 2.5 gallons of 10% ABV beer)
Batch Size: 5 gallons
Min: 11 lbs (roughly 5 gallons of 5% ABV beer)
Max: 17 lbs (roughly 5 gallons of 10% ABV beer)

15 gallon Solo (2.5 to 10 gallon batches)
Batch Size: 2.5 gallons
Min: 6 lbs (roughly 2.5 gallons of 5% ABV beer)
Max: 21 lbs (roughly 2.5 gallons of 10% ABV beer)
Batch Size: 5 gallons
Min: 11 lbs (roughly 5 gallons of 5% ABV beer)
Max: 21 lbs (roughly 5 gallons of 10% ABV beer)
Batch Size: 10 gallons
Min: 16 lbs (roughly 10 gallons of 4% ABV beer)
Max: 20 lbs (roughly 10 gallons of 5% ABV beer)

20 gallon (5 to 15 gallon batches)
Batch Size: 5 gallons
Min: 11 lbs (roughly 5 gallons of 5% ABV beer)
Max: 21 lbs (roughly 5 gallons of 10% ABV beer)
Batch Size: 10 gallons
Min: 20 lbs (roughly 10 gallons of 5% ABV beer)
Max: 40 lbs (roughly 10 gallons of 10% ABV beer)
Batch Size: 15 gallons
           Min: No minimum due to volume of water needed to brew 15 gallons
